The man from the Meuse, The man from the Scheldt, The man from the Dunes
These are mythological characters that live a secret life in a natural environment for over centuries. For this special occasion, the man steps out of his hiding place and visits you on a day that is all about rivers, the sea, the dunes or the wood.
He tells about his life while showing all sorts of objects. He dances and sings and sometimes brings his large drum to accompany himself. This man is interactive with the audience. Of course he uses natural things only (no plastic cup) and drinks cranberry or blueberry juice. He knows all animals by name and lives in a shed nearby the woodpecker tree right around the corner from the big rabbit hole. He can hear tree sap running through trunks and you know what? He can make you hear it too!!

Children immediately believe that the man from the Dunes (Scheldt /Meuse) resides in the area for over a hundred years, living an exciting life. He speaks with the animals in the water as well as on land… and today he comes forth just for this once! He shows all sorts of items that he created from objects that he found in the water and the dunes. He is not scary at all, he is quite polite and after his performance we can see him wonder back to the woods, or walk along the riverside back to his secret shelter.
